Uri has spent her entire career in the field of education as she has always been interested in addressing the challenges underrepresented groups face in education due to her own identities as a child of immigrants and as a rural first-generation college student. This interest has led her in supporting diverse student groups in K-12 and higher ed. She is very excited to continue this work at the ARC. Her ultimate goal is to help students feel empowered to make thoughtful decisions and take advantage of opportunities and resources that align with their goals and values.

Prior to this role, Uri was a Program Coordinator for Academic Excellence Programs at the Office of Minority Education (OME) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She assisted underrepresented students in completing a two-year program called Interphase EDGE/x ensuring they are getting the most out of their educational experience during their first two years at MIT. Previously, she was an Academic Advisor at the University of Michigan School of Information for the BSI program (Bachelor of Science in Information). Uri holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Spanish as well as a Master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Michigan.
