Jill Eisenberg
Associate Director for Peer Tutoring

Jill oversees the Beverly J. Duran Peer Tutoring Program at the ARC. In this capacity, she recruits and trains peer tutors, coordinates tutor-led services for students seeking course content support, liaises with faculty and academic departments to support student needs, and assesses the programs for continuous improvement. In line with the ARC’s mission, Jill strives to help students succeed in their academic goals by empowering them to become independent learners and develop skills that will help them both inside and outside of the classroom.

Prior to her work at the ARC, Jill spent over a decade at Suffolk University. Starting there as an undergraduate peer tutor in what was then the Math/Computer Science Support Center, over time she advanced to become the Director of Tutoring and Peer-to-Peer Success Services in the Center for Learning and Academic Success. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Suffolk University and a master’s degree in mathematics from Tufts University. Jill is also an experienced classroom teacher; she served as Senior Lecturer in Mathematics while at Suffolk University. Though mathematics has always been Jill’s passion, she is also devoted to education and pedagogy regarding students mentoring other students.
