Reading and Note-Taking for Literature and Theory

1414 Massachusetts Avenue, Floor 3R, Room 382

If you’re taking classes in the humanities or social sciences or pursuing a degree in these fields, you’re likely managing a heavy reading load. In this workshop you will learn strategies for reading the different kinds of assigned texts: literature (novels, poetry, short stories, primary sources, etc.), theory/philosophy, and academic books or articles. By the end of the workshop, you will know how to read these texts effectively and efficiently, take clear and concise notes on them, and assess their role in the course and your studies.
